What happens if a product's list price is set to $0.00?

Customers will not be able to purchase products listed at $0.00. Instead, they are given the option to contact you about the price.

If the product's list price is set to $0.00 and a simple option is modifying the price of the product, the customer will be able to buy the product at the modified price.

How do I show that an item is on sale?

Set the "List Price" of the product to the original price of the item, then set the "Price" of the product to the sale price. This will display the product as "on sale" and show the customer how much off the product is.
