The 2009 Merlot has a perfect balance of blackberry, chocolate, leather flavors and mild tannins developed from a long summer ripening season and a full extraction during fermentation.

Our 2013 Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon has a very dark crimson color, with a bright purple rim. Cassis, black cherry, black pepper and espresso fill the very fragrant nose. The flavors are similar with ripe black cherry, dark chocolate and cabernet spice impressions, and the wine is lush fruit-forward yet balanced. The finish is lingering, with nuances of black tea and blueberry. It is definitely enjoyable now and over the next 5 years.

The 2012 Three Vine Red has a very dark crimson color, almost opaque, with a bright red rim. The nose is very fragrant with cassis, tobacco leaf, herbs, tea, and toasted coconut impressions. Smooth and of medium body, the flavors follow the nose with dark cherry, blueberry, Bergamot tea, and toast nuances. The finish is medium long with plenty of fruit balancing out the youthful texture. The wine is recommended for enjoying it now and over the next 2 years.

An excellent value in California Merlot, it is bold and rich with dark fruit influence, soft but present tannins achieved through extended skin contact, and great backbone and structure with a pleasant food-friendly acidity. Produced in a soft rich style, this Merlot is dark and complex with aromas of black cherry and bittersweet cocoa.

TheSplit Rock Cabernet Sauvignon, which also comes from the Sonoma side of the Mayacamas Mountains, has a dense ruby/purple color, loads of mineral-laced blackcurrant and plum-like fruit, medium to full body, sweet tannin, and a lush, heady finish.
