The 2009 Merlot has a perfect balance of blackberry, chocolate, leather flavors and mild tannins developed from a long summer ripening season and a full extraction during fermentation.
Opaque violet, almost black color typical of top quality Argentine Malbec. Intense aromas recalling ripe red berries, plums, blackcurrant, blackpepper with notes of candied fruit and marmalade. Subtle notes of chocolate, coffee and nuts are given by its long ageing in new French oak. Silky palate and soft rounded tannins with notes of blackberries, spices, truffles providing aromatic complexity for an exquisite finish.
Our 2013 Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon has a very dark crimson color, with a bright purple rim. Cassis, black cherry, black pepper and espresso fill the very fragrant nose. The flavors are similar with ripe black cherry, dark chocolate and cabernet spice impressions, and the wine is lush fruit-forward yet balanced. The finish is lingering, with nuances of black tea and blueberry. It is definitely enjoyable now and over the next 5 years.
The 2012 Three Vine Red has a very dark crimson color, almost opaque, with a bright red rim. The nose is very fragrant with cassis, tobacco leaf, herbs, tea, and toasted coconut impressions. Smooth and of medium body, the flavors follow the nose with dark cherry, blueberry, Bergamot tea, and toast nuances. The finish is medium long with plenty of fruit balancing out the youthful texture. The wine is recommended for enjoying it now and over the next 2 years.
