African Prune contains three compounds that may relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy such as frequency, urgency, getting up at night.
How African Prune works:
Phytosterols triterpenes and ferulic acid esters are the three compounds that make African prune an effective support for Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy or BPH. Phytosterols compete with androgen precursors thus limiting androgen synthesis. They also inhibit prostaglandin synthesis which reduces inflammation. The triterpenes inhibit inflammation. Ferulic acid esters reduce the cholesterol content of the prostate, which limits androgen synthesis.
